Cell Phone Rental Terms


  1. Rentals are secured and all charges are payable by the credit card(s) supplied by client. Before the rental begins, Roberts Rent A Phone will request an authorization from the credit card company, depending on the type of equipment or when multiple phones are ordered. This is an authorization only, and is not a charge to the credit card. At any time during the rental period that phone usage charges meet or exceed $300.00, the credit card(s) may be charged for the call usage amount. In case of a declined authorization or negative credit check, Roberts Rent A Phone is not obliged to supply service.

  2. The rental period begins the day the equipment is delivered to address specified by the client and ends the second business day prior to the date the equipment is received by Roberts Rent A Phone. The credit card supplied with the order is charged for shipping costs only on the day of shipment.

  3. To extend the rental period, Roberts Rent A Phone must be notified a minimum of 48 hours prior to the scheduled return date. Failure to do so could result in late charges, and additional rental fees.

  4. With the exception of Domestic Phones rentals, all Roberts Rent A Phone phones are intended for International use only. Although the phone numbers assigned to this equipment are US based, any calls originating in the US carry exceptionally high call rates. These rates are determined by where calls are terminated and are assessed when call details are received from our service providers. The customer will be responsible for any and all calls originating in the US during the rental period.

  5. Roberts Rent A Phone and/or its agents are not be responsible for any liability resulting from interruption of service, malfunction of the equipment or accessories and/or delivery/courier delays to the client.

  6. Roberts Rent A Phone and/or its agents are not responsible for problems or failures that may arise in individual networks of countries. This includes, but is not limited to dropped calls while using the phone in areas with weak signal strength and/or other network problems or failures.

  7. The client is responsible for the correct use of the equipment and its accessories. The client must notify Roberts Rent A Phone and/or its agents of any equipment or service problems immediately for assistance.

  8. In the event of theft or loss, the client must immediately inform Roberts Rent A Phone or its agents and all relevant authorities. Failure to do so may result in unauthorized calls being charge to the client. Upon notice of loss or theft, Roberts Rent A Phone reserves the right to interrupt or disconnect service.

  9. All prices are the rates applicable at the time of the contract rental period. Any payments due are payable at the end of the rental term or monthly if rental period exceeds 30 days.

  10. Roberts Rent A Phone and the client expressly agree that all disputes arising out of this contract and not administratively resolved by Roberts Rent A Phone shall be resolved applying Massachusetts law exclusively by the American Arbitration Association in Boston, Massachusetts. Cost of Arbitration and enforcement thereof including reasonable attorney’s fees shall be borne by the losing party and the prevailing party may enforce an arbitration decision in the courts of Massachusetts.
